The four strategies of braking momentum

One of life secrets is to manage energy or force in a dynamic balance of movement. As explained in earlier postings, I have set out my intent and build momentum behind it through actions and choices until the momentum almost become a destructive force. When this situation occurs it often leads to one of two situations: Total chaos and disintegration if you are unable to maintain control over that momentum or you can get such a freight that you totally leave everything and run away before the storm hits you. Neither of these scenario's are plausible because they both lead to the cancellation of the momentum that has been build. The momentum have to be build from scratch.
The alternative is to apply one of three techniques to deal with momentum. One purposely slow the momentum down so that it comes back within your ability to manage. Another approach is to increase your capacity to deal with the momentum and the another would be to employ others to help you manage the momentum. The last strategy is to transform the momentum or channel it. The strategy of choice is determined by the situation.
Braking the momentum through resistance is a simple process of focusing on the passive or Yin elements of life. It is for example advantageous to meditate on stillness by using a symbol like ISS in the Runes or meditate on earth and its solid capabilities. You can also focus on balancing your lower chakra - muladhara. Through this practice you release much of the energy that is building up inside you as you struggle with the momentum. The risk of this practice is that you can not be to strong in the force of momentum for too long - if you are too rigid you might break. This approach must be balanced by flexibility to adjust to the situation. The positive is that you grow stronger.
Increasing your own capacity might be more difficult to do. Over time if we continue to push the limits of the momentum in our life we will automatically become more developed in the art of managing momentum but it is a slow process. One way of increasing your capacity is to focus on drawing in energy through the active component of yang. There are many active runes to meditate on like Inqgwaz that will provide yang energy. Meditate on the fire element. The risk of this practice is that of extending yourself beyond your current capabilities. You might overcome the symptoms and not address the real issues. The positive is that you begin to extend your limitations. Balance the Third, Manipura, chackra to achieve this strategy.
The third option is to gain the help of others. In this technique you focus on how yang energy penetrates yin energy. A key rune that I use is Ehwaz or Mannaz. Simply go out and ask other people to assist you and guide them. Often you will find with the right vision people will be very keen to assist. The risk of this approach is that you sacrifice independence but at least you can keep the momentum going at its own pace. I focus on the element of water when I follow this strategy. Balance the fourth, Anahata, and fith,Visudha, chakra when you focus on this strategy.
The fourth option is to transform or reflect some of the momentum away from you. This is the most difficult option for me to execute. Some of the momentum can be diffused by simply reducing your area of intent towards greater specifity. Using Dagaz as focus rune allows me the process of self-renewal required to focus intent more precisely. In essence this technique uses the passive yin to absorb the active Yang of the momentum. The outcome of this approach is often unpredictable and require a great level of mental flexibility and strength associated with the element of Air. The positive is greater precision to channel the momentum towards achieving specific aims. Balance the sixth, Anja, chakra if you want to follow this strategy.
Thus all the elements earth, water, air and fire can be used to break momentum. The four strategies is either pure Yin, pure Yang, Yang penetrating Yin or Yin absorbing Yang. Each will have its own consequence. Awareness of the macro conditions combined with inner capability will assist in determining the best strategy
